Biography of Urban Jermann

Urban Jermann is the Safra Professor of International Finance and Capital Markets at the Wharton School. His research is on aggregate asset prices, macroeconomic fluctuations, and international portfolio choice. He teaches classes on international finance for undergraduate and graduate students.

Jermann holds a Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva Switzerland. He is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and an editor of the Review of Economic Dynamics. He has been a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
